Heard often in the detailing industry, but what is it? It is the term used to refer to the process in which a vehicles exterior paint is subdued to multiple stages of cutting and refining by polishing the clear coat. This process, although lengthy and sometimes costly, rejuvenates the shine and sparkle of a vehicles paint that is unachievable by any other process. As every vehicle is exposed to different weather conditions and environments, the intensity of work needed to achieve this result varies. Below, we have a small breakdown of the processes of our paint corrections.
Paint Correction
Single Stage
Duration: One Full Day
The Rundown: Here, we use a light compounding product with high polishing capabilities. Although many factors, such as hardness and age of paint, come into play here, you will often see the removal of minor defects by up to 90% .

The Result: Water marks, Oxidisation, light swirls and marring will be removed.
Ceramic Coating Central Coast Paint Protection
Omissions: This will not remove deep scratching, Heavy watermarks or any acid based marks (often caused by sap or external chemicals)
Sedan/Hatch/Coupe – From $590

Duration: Approximately 2 - 3 Days
The Rundown: Here, we utilise multiple stages of cutting, working our way from a medium cutting compound to lighter cut, and then a final finishing compound. Every panel is subdued to multiple cutting stages, as well as a refining and polishing stage. This will often improve paint clarity by up to 95%.

The Result: Deep Water marks, Medium to heavy swirl marks and scratches, as well as sap and bird dropping marks removed.
Paint Protection central coast
Omissions: Again, this will not remove the deepest of scratches, but will definitely dull them and help mask the intensity of the scratch.

Two
Stage
Duration: Approximately 3 - 4 Days
The Rundown: This is suited to highly damaged paint. Here, we utilise the benefits multiple stages, where we start with a heavier cutting compound and more aggressive pad, and work our way up to a softer refining pad and compound. Occasionally, a 'wet sand' stage will be added to areas that are heavily damaged. You will often see removal of clear coat defects by up to 98%.

The Result: All heavy defects, scratches and marring will be removed. This is the the final extent of paint correction and will allow for the most superior outcome.
Omissions: This is the final stage of paint correction, and any damages that extend beyond the clear coat will be all the defects that remain.
